Getting started
How long does a new gas connection take?
Typical residential connections take 4–8 weeks from quote acceptance. Larger developments run to your build programme, often in phased releases.
How much does a new gas connection cost?
Most standard domestic supplies fall between £900 and £2,500 all-in. Commercial and development pricing depends on load, distance and site conditions.
What information do you need to quote?
The site postcode, intended use (hob only, combi boiler, commercial load), meter position preference and your target completion date.
Installation & site
Who digs the trench?
We do. Our own crews carry out excavation, pipe laying, backfill and full reinstatement of pavements, driveways or gardens.
Do you handle the paperwork with the Gas Transporter?
Yes. Adoption, connection agreements, purge & test certificates and street works notices are all handled by us on your behalf.
Can you work with my builder?
Absolutely. We work alongside main contractors and other utilities every day, with a single named site contact for your team.
Meter & aftercare
Do you fit the gas meter itself?
The meter is fitted by your chosen energy supplier once we've completed the service and issued the handover pack. We coordinate the appointment for you if you'd like.
Do I need planning permission?
For most connections, no. Service pipes are covered by permitted development and utility statutory rights. We manage all necessary notices.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes — all our installations carry a 12-month workmanship warranty, and the pipework itself is covered by manufacturer warranties for 50+ years.
